A Personal Way Forward

Every student's path is different. Sometimes the hardest part is simply knowing what questions to ask or where to begin. I take the time to listen, understand the full picture, and help students and families make sense of their options. Together, we turn uncertainty into clear, thoughtful next steps.

Hi, I'm Marisa

Founder of Pathways Made Possible, providing academic and college planning support

Helping students find a path forward.

For years, I’ve been the person students and families turn to when education starts to feel overwhelming or they simply aren’t sure what to do next. I’ve helped work through questions about high school course planning, graduation requirements, advanced classes, college options, applications, FAFSA, financial aid and unexpected academic challenges.

A lot of my experience has also come from being a mom of four. My own children have different strengths, interests and needs, so I’ve had to learn how many different paths through education can look. I’ve navigated AP and advanced classes, dual enrollment options, IEPs and academic supports. I’ve spent years researching requirements, comparing options and trying to make the best decisions for each individual child.

That experience taught me something important: what works for one student may not work for another.

One student may be looking for the next academic challenge. Another may need the right support in place just to feel successful again. Some students know exactly where they want to go, while others have no idea what comes next. All of those situations deserve the same level of attention and care.

I know how easy it is to get buried in information. There are course options, graduation requirements, college choices, applications, deadlines, financial aid and countless decisions along the way. Sometimes you just need someone to sit down, look at the whole picture and help make sense of it.

That’s what led me to create Pathways Made Possible.

My approach is simple. I listen first. I take the time to understand the student, the situation and what the family is trying to figure out. Then I research the options, organize the information and help make the next steps feel clearer and more manageable.

I’m not here to tell a student what their future should look like. I’m here to help them understand their options, ask the right questions and make informed decisions about the path that feels right for them.

Sometimes that means answering one specific question. Other times, it means stepping back and creating a plan for what comes next. Either way, my goal is for students and families to leave feeling less overwhelmed and more confident about moving forward.

Because there isn’t one right path for every student. There’s the path that works for them.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Pathways Access Program

I believe students and families should be able to ask for guidance even when cost is a barrier. As Pathways Made Possible grows, my goal is to develop the Pathways Access Program to offer select services at a reduced cost and, in the future, through community-sponsored support for families who may not otherwise be able to afford them.

The Pathways Access Program is currently in development. More information will be shared as the program grows.
